STRUCTURAL SURVEYS

We undertake full structural surveys for mortgage purposes. Our reports provide detailed information on the buildings structure, advise on potential issues, likely causes and any suggested remedial works.

We also carry out full structural surveys on steel framed properties, most notably "Trusteel" houses.

REFURBISHMENT WORKS

We also can provide assistance on the renovation of existing properties including advice and design for structural issues that may require repair or support.

DOMESTIC NEW BUILD

We have extensive experience in the design of numerous large estates of housing and small blocks of flats for developers.

DOMESTIC EXTENSIONS

We can provide structural design for additional extension works to your property including foundation design and any timber or steel beam design where knocking through. We carry out designs from a single steel beam to complex alterations to existing buildings.

COMMERCIAL DESIGN

We also can provide structural design for commercial projects including new build, steel connections for steel fabrication, steel balconies, steel and glass balustrades, staircases, façade fixings and much more.

NHBC TIMBER FRAME CERTIFICATION

Ian Devonshire is accredited to issue NHBC Timber Frame Certificates ( NHBC HB244511/10). These Certificates are used by the National House Building Council (NHBC) to certify that the design and installation is to modern standard. (Eurocode design and specification). 

STEEL FABRICATION

We currently work with over 30 Steel Fabricators throughout the South of England, creating a wide range of designs for balconies, staircases, balustrading, cat ladders, cladding support systems and steel connections. Our design work can be found in many high profile and prestigious projects including Crossrail, Bishopsgate/Liverpool Street Station, International Quarter, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports and the St. Mary Axe building in London.
