This project involved the refurbishment and conversion of an existing concrete water tower into a bespoke residential dwelling, incorporating new extensions at the lower levels.

The project presented a number of unique technical and design challenges. The curved geometry and varying radii of the existing tower required careful measurement and accurate detailing to ensure the new works integrated successfully with the existing structure.

A key element of the conversion involved forming new window and door openings through the reinforced concrete structure. This required detailed consideration of the existing construction and the structural stability of the remaining concrete walls.

The project was completed over approximately 18 months, transforming the former water tower into a distinctive and highly individual home. The client has now been living in the completed property for two months and is very pleased with the result.
